Note: Reboot required to allow running affected game(s) from Galaxy. It's actually much simpler than it looks. Your saved games is stored in two places: your machine and Origin’s cloud. If I could find it, I would just point to it, but I can't so I'll reproduce it (I copied it at first). I found this one which was offered by GOG as a possible solution, and worked for me. One file failed integrity but was apparently recaptured, so all files validate.

Jlbrad: My apologies - I forgot that I had tried a couple tweeks. Syberia won't load after update I've tried all of the recommended solutions - restarting PC, clearing download cache, verifying file integrity, changing file download location, etc. I believe there's a recap at the start of Syberia 2 but you'd essentially be starting the game in the middle. Press Ok and close the Environment Variables window. Syberia 2 takes off directly after Syberia 1 so if anyone is interested you'd be best off playing the first game before this one.
